Indian cricketer Rishabh Pant is struggling hard to find his roots in the Indian cricket team. He is the supposed replacement of the former Indian captain MS Dhoni. 

MS Dhoni is a legend in the game of cricket. He has achieved unprecedented success as a captain for the Indian cricket team. MS is the only captain to win all the three ICC trophies–2007 T20 World Cup, 2011 World Cup and 2013 Champions Trophy. 

However, the veteran player is away from the match field since July 2019. He last played for India in the semi-final match of World Cup 2019 against New Zealand. Since then, he has made himself unavailable and there is no news of his return. 

The absence of MS Dhoni gave ample opportunities to the youngsters Rishabh Pant to establish himself as the wicketkeeper-batsman for the National team. But Pant was not able to cache the opportunities well. As he was lacking on both the fronts, wicket keeping, and batting, selectors replaced him with the likes of KL Rahul. KL Rahul has done exceptionally well with the gloves and bat in 2020. 

Owing to his bad performance, Pant has been scrutinized by both the media officials and the fans. He is often targeted by the trollers on social media.

Rishabh Pant again lands in a controversy

Unfortunately, Rishabh Pant has again landed on the radar of the trollers. He has managed to create a controversy by liking a troll post on Instagram. The post was trolling MS Dhoni for his bad keeping skills. 

The clip posted by a fan page showed MS Dhoni missing a stump. The caption of the video, ” Kya se kya ho gaye dekhte dekhte.. (what has happened with the passage of time)”
