Sachin Tendulkar Reveals the Details of Video Call with PM Modi

The legend Sachin Tendulkar recently talked about the crucial situation the country is going through right now. He also admitted that it would be difficult to manage the situation after April 14. 

India has been battling with the novel coronavirus for the past few days. On April 3, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had an hour-long video call with 40 elite sportsmen discussing the present scenario. The deadly COVID-19 has affected more than 3000 people in India and has claimed about 50 lives. India is currently in a 21 days lockdown period till 14 April.

PM reaffirmed my belief, says Sachin Tendulkar

Sachin Tendulkar was also a part of this valuable interaction with the Prime Minister. 

Talking about the conversation Tendulkar said, “He (PM Modi) highlighted and reaffirmed my belief that we should not let our guard down after the 14th of April, & how we manage that period will be very critical,”

Owing to the coronavirus scare, people have been practicing social distancing and are using namaste as a way of greeting.

Sachin added, “I also suggested that as much as possible, I will use our way of greeting – saying ‘Namaste’ instead of shaking hands, even after we overcome this pandemic,” 

The elder people are more prone to the virus. Therefore, PM suggested everyone take special care of their parents and grandparents and spend some quality time. 

The lockdown had also affected the mental peace of the citizens. The PM also took a special interest in discussing this factor in the video call.

“We also spoke about mental fitness is as important as physical fitness during this phase, and shared what I’m doing at home to keep fit. This is the time for our entire nation to come together and keep each other motivated. Like team spirit wins us games in sports, our nation should work as one team to overcome this,” Tendulkar concluded.
