Sachin Tendulkar Smashes 7 Boundaries at the Road Safety World Series

Sachin Tendulkar is a name that exists on the lips of every Indian cricket fan. However, the younger fans of today’s generation have not actually seen him play live. After scoring 100 international centuries and 34,000 runs while playing 200 Test, the “God of Cricket” retired from all forms in 2013.

Fortunately, the 7th of March 2020 marked an important moment for all of Tendulkar’s fans. The Road Safety World Series commenced and Sachin Tendulkar led India Legends had a thrilling match against West Indies Legends. This match marks the moment that will etched in the hearts Indian fans.

Tendulkar won the toss and opted to bowl first at the inaugural match. West Indies Legends rounded up a total score of 150 runs for 8 wickets in the 20 overs. Munaf Patel, Pragyan Ojha, and Zaheer Khan each dismissed two players from the West Indies team.

India Legends put up an exciting showcase of skills at Wankhede

When it was India’s time to bat, the opening partners were Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar. This opening partnership is a nostalgic moment for fans globally. Sehwag takes the lead while Tendulkar takes his time to settle down. The two of them reached a score of 83 runs for the opening wicket. Sachin Tendulkar smashed 7 boundaries with a score of 36 for 29 balls.

Following his dismissal, Mohammad Kaif and Manpreet Gony took the reigns. However, they could not impress as much. Meanwhile, Virender Sehwag kept going until he reached a score of 74 runs from 57 balls. Additionally, Yuvraj Singh played 7 balls for 10 runs as well. India Legends secures the first win of the Road Safety World Series by 7 wickets. An additional excitement of the game was Carl Hooper picking up two wickets.
