England cricketer Chris Jordan was a part of IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2016. The Virat Kohli led team reached the finals of the tournament that year but lost the title to Sunrisers Hyderabad.

IPL 2016 was a dream tournament for RCB, especially for Virat Kohli. Kohli was awarded as the lead run-scoring batsman of the tournament. However, Chris Jordan too did his bit in making RCB reach finals by taking 11 wickets in 9 innings.

Even after a surreal league, Chris went for the auctions the following year. He was picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad but didn’t get many opportunities to showcase his talent. Soon his journey with SRH came to an end as the franchise released him. This year Jordan is a part of the Kings XI Punjab franchise.

Jordan on Virat Kohli

The England bowler recently talked with a news portal regarding his former IPL team captain Virat Kohli and fellow mates.

Talking about his experience Chris said. “I enjoyed that dressing room. That was because of characters like AB De Villiers, Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, Shane Watson, and the list goes on. Bowling in India is not easy. Outfields are quick, pitches are flat and stadiums are relatively small.”

He further added, “At Bangalore, you had to either execute everything perfectly or go out of the park and that changed my mentality. The constraint there taught me how to bowl as the margin for error was very less.”

The England cricketer was all praises for his former IPL captain Virat Kohli.

The 31-year-old said, “As a bowler, you try to take control of your situation. Virat was very open to that. If things were to go wrong, he would come in and give his inputs,”

“He (Kohli), being one of the top batters in the world, knows how batsmen think. He and AB used to advise from that point of view. I was pretty relaxed”, Chris admitted
