We know Crysis Remastered will be coming this year. Fans of the franchise, all around the world, were waiting for it with bated breath. Thus, the news of a new game cheers us up in itself. However, in a tweet today, the developers mentioned something extremely significant.

The game is more than just a global phenomenon; our love for it perhaps cannot be described in words. This is one of the primary reasons why the announcement about the delay is a little unsettling. However, it came with a reasonable explanation too. We saw the latest leaked trailer, which apparently mentions the release date on 23rd August.

With the latest tweet, it seems that the developers were actively looking to see how the community reacts to it. It mentions, “You might be aware of the leak yesterday, and we want you to know: we’ve seen all the reactions.”

Crysis Remastered release date delayed

In the clip, we saw moments from the first Crysis game. The Raptor team consisted of Nomad, Psycho, Aztec, Jester, and Prophet. The mission was simple – to extract Dr. Helena Rosenthal and her father from the clutches of North Korean leader General Kyong. The mission did not go exactly as planned as General Kyong mistook an alien ship for a temple. This was perhaps one of the best character and plot-driven Crysis game of all time.

The Remastered version will take advantage of all the modern-day advancements the gaming world has to offer. In the tweet, they mention that “The features you are looking forward to are already set, but we want to take the time on polishing the game.

The reason for the delay is plausible

The announcement started off with the news about Crysis IP making its debut on Nintendo Switch. Thus, releasing both the Remastered version and the IP won’t be a proper option. They also mentioned how the pre-order for Switch would be available, but it will be delayed for all other platforms.

The reason they have given for this delay seems entirely plausible. “The extra time until the release will allow us to get Crysis Remastered up to the PC and console-breaking standard you have come to expect from Crysis Games.”

Honestly, if they are taking the developers are taking time to polish the game then it is for our benefit; thus, waiting patiently is the best thing we can do right now.
