Dana White has set up great fights for UFC 254 and it’s not just the main event but the co-main event too.

During a recent press conference, Dana White revealed everything the promotion company has planned for the months to come. One of the biggest events lined up is UFC 254: Khabib Nurmagomedov vs Justin Gaethje.

The main event is a must-see lightweight title unification bout between two of the best fighters on the planet. To make things even more exciting, Dana White and the matchmakers have added another lightweight fight into the mix.

But is that Dana White’s only intention? Or is there another reason behind fixing this fight on the same day? With the Khabib vs Ferguson curse being considered a real thing, White doesn’t want to take any chances. A co-main that deserves its own main event has some prior thought put into it.

Khabib vs Tony has been booked five times before. And it has fallen through every single time. All hopes of this matchup have been destroyed. As history has shown, both men can fight on the same card. However, they cannot be matched up against each other. Even Dana White believes that one of the best fights to make at lightweight is cursed.

When asked whether the curse is real, Dana White said, “Yeah. 100%!”
