Dustin Poirier Rejects Chaos’ “Show” Apology- Refuses To Talk About It

Dustin Poirier was in a recent video chat with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani. The Number 2 ranked Lightweight fighter refused to accept Colby Covington’s apology, stating it was “all a show.” Further, he shared his views on who would make a better opponent for Khabib Nurmagomedov than Tony Ferguson.

In the chat, Helwani said it was good to see him (Poirier) and Colby make up. He was referring to Covington’s post on Instagram, where he uploaded a picture with his fellow American Top Team member Poirier. ‘Chaos’ offered an apology to ‘The Diamond’ as he made a deal to keep it civil, but broke it in an interview. He termed himself a man of his word.

Poirier is not swayed by Colby’s apology, as he is familiar with the latter’s reputation of a trash talk master. In addition to ‘The Diamond’, ‘Chaos’ feuded with fellow Welterweight Jorge Masvidal and Joanna Jedrzejczyk. The BMF hit back in style. He did not seem to bother with ATT owner Dan Lambert’s no trash talking policy, also known as the “Colby Covington Rule.”

Gamebred’ said, “Fuck Coby. The most fragile, most sensitive guy in UFC history. Can’t kick me out cause this rule was for fighters only.“

Jedrzejczyk called for Chaos’ expulsion from the ATT claiming he is a liar and brought shame and disrepute to the gym. Chaos’ attempts at mending fences are not quite working out as he had hoped. Although, he does have an intention to make things better.

Do you think ‘Chaos’ will try to mend fences anymore? It certainly goes against his ‘heel’ character that made him popular. Or will he respond in kind to ‘the Diamond?’
