E3 2021 Xbox & Bethesda Showcase: Starfield Teaser Takes the World by Storm as the ‘Xbox Exclusive’ Is Set for a November 2022 Release

Day 2 of E3 2021 started with a bang as the entire gaming world shifted its focus towards the Xbox & Bethesda showcase. The press conference started with the entry of Bethesda Director, Todd Howard. Upon his arrival, the revered executive showcased fans the first ever in-game look of their latest IP, Starfield.

Starfield was first announced during the company’s iconic E3 2018 press conference where they also disclosed their other future projects like Elder Scrolls VI. This is the developer’s first major universe in 25 years and it seems to be packed full of action. Along with the trailer, the company also revealed some interesting details about the upcoming title.

Bethesda gives fans their first ever glimpse at Starfield

Bethesda showcased a 138 second long in-game footage of Starfield which showcased some pretty incredible visuals. The story is set in space, and it looks like it will offer fans some pretty amazing adventures. Fans received little to no details about the story and the characters present in the title, but it seems like it will involve human space explorers.

The E3 2021 trailer also showcased a space station in a world far away from Earth. The graphics look stupendous with shots of mind-blowing scenery and environment. Other than that, it also showcased some futuristic weapons and a spaceship that might be right out of movies like Interstellar or The Martian.

Starfield to release on November 11, 2022 as Xbox exclusive title

The developers might have given up little to no information about the game’s setting. But Bethesda disclosed the release date of Starfield to be November 11, 2022. It’s still a year and a half away so fans might have to wait for next year’s E3 for the gameplay footage.

Along with that, the company also confirmed that it will be a Xbox exclusive title. Everyone suspected that Bethesda might have some exclusive games for Xbox console following its $7.5 billion acquisition by Microsoft. With this announcement, Starfield is the first major game from Bethesda to be a Xbox Series X|S and Windows game. Fans also have more reasons to be excited for it, as the title will be part of the massive Xbox Game Pass library on Day 1.

The game is still a long way away from being done. But it won’t be long before Bethesda and Xbox divulge more details about it. The trailer showcased that the developers have something epic in store for this space adventure game, and fans can’t wait for it.
