Call of Duty: Vanguard Multiplayer Beta: Start Time, Key Dates, Playable Modes, and Other Details

The latest upcoming Call of Duty game is titled Vanguard. Sledgehammer Games is leading the development of this hard-hitting first-person shooter set to release in November 2021. Recently, the developer held a multiplayer reveal for the game during which they unveiled key details about the gameplay and upcoming beta.

There will be two weekends across which players can gain access to the closed Call of Duty Vanguard beta. The first one is from September 10th to 13th at 10 AM PT and the second one from September 16th-17th. Following this, the beta will be open to all users until September 20th.

Week one of the beta will only be open to those with PlayStation Access. In order to acquire this early access, one must have pre-ordered the digital or physical copy of the game. Those with the digital copy will be automatically registered for Early Access, while the latter can find their Early Access code on the retail receipt or in their e-mail.

During this week, players will be able to test three new Vanguard maps. These include Hotel Royal, Red Star, and Gavutu. You will be able to grind these maps on a variety of game modes such as Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Kill Confirmed, and a new one called Patrol.

How to enjoy multiplayer during the Call of Duty: Vanguard beta

More often than not, Call of Duty is loved for its multiplayer gameplay. Thus, Sledgehammer Games took the multiplayer aspect of Vanguard to the next level, with a total of 20 maps. Sixteen of them will be traditional 6v6 maps and the remaining four are specifically designed for 2V2 gunfights.

Furthermore, Sledgehammer Games has introduced the element of combat pacing. This includes three different game paces-tactical, assault, and blitz. The multiplayer trailer also showcases dynamic maps which are impacted by the fight, adding to the realism of the game.

Call of Duty’s blog post mentions some of the other features available in Vanguard.
