The company recently lost billions of dollars after a fake verified account, impersonating their brand on Twitter, mentioned that the insulin was free for all. Moreover, the new owner of the platform Elon Musk later came forward in support of Eli Lilly, while also attracting harsh criticism from streamer HasanAbi.

Recently, someone bought the verification badge after subscribing to the Twitter Blue program. After that, they impersonated the pharmaceutical company Eli Lilly and tweeted out an astonishing news. The account tweeted that “insulin is free now”, leading to a state of chaos on the social media platform.

Following the massive shakeup, the official account of Eli Lilly tweeted that the fake account’s tweet should not be considered valid at all. And that the insulin is still around $100. The entire situation took the stocks of the company down on Friday, erasing $15 billion in their market cap!

After Musk’s tweet, streamer HasanAbi decided to take a jab at the new Twitter boss, once again. It looks like he’s not going to slow down in his constant criticism of the business magnate. HasanAbi called Elon “consistently the dumbest person on this platform”, for his recent tweet on the pricing of insulin, defending Eli Lilly.

It’s quite clear that HasanAbi doesn’t like the new owner of the social media platform. Plus, he’s not impressed by him regarding many aspects, let alone bringing Twitter Blue. The latter has now been rolled back.
