Mario Strikers: Battle League couldn’t please its fans as per lowered sales of physical units

According to recent reports, Mario Strikers Battle League failed to dominate in Japan as it sold only 32,173 units at launch. Indeed, several fans are not happy with the end results as the developers included splendid graphics and gameplay. Not to mention, some even expected it to surpass many popular titles’ sales records.

In comparison to Mario Strikers Battle League, Mario Golf sold over 80k units while Mario Tennis sold 123k units. Therefore, fans were questioning why Mario Strikers couldn’t surpass these two hits from the past despite having pleasing graphics and a good gameplay.

According to YouTuber SwitchForce, the only reason for the game’s downfall was its high pricing. You will have to spend $60 in order to get your hands on Mario Strikers; however, it doesn’t provide prominent features in comparison to its high pricing. Although it includes impressive gameplay experience, there are no mini-games, campaign mode, arenas, characters, or any other crucial perks.

Following the release, the latest Nintendo title only features 10 characters and 5 arenas. Because of this, many fans didn’t purchase the game, and it ranked lowest with only 32k physical unit sales in Japan.
