It goes without saying that Elden Ring has turned into more than just a game now. Ever since its mega release earlier this year in February, the fantasy RPG has gained new heights by creating extraordinary records. Well, it just added another feather to its cap.
The latest reports have revealed that Elden Ring sold 13.4 million units by the end of March 2022. Previously, publisher Bandai Namco had announced that it sold 12 million units by March 14. Hence, the remaining two weeks of that month added 1.4 million sold copies. This is just insane to witness, but it shouldn’t come as a massive surprise to anyone.

As reported by VGC, Bandai Namco just updated the sales figures for Elden Ring for March 2022. Recently, it revealed that the blockbuster masterpiece has now sold a total of 13.4 million copies worldwide since its release.
That number is impressive in itself, considering it took just less than two months for Elden Ring to achieve this milestone. Moreover, it’s more amazing to note that while doing so, it also broke some crucial records of other games as well.

For example, Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold a total of 26.55 million units as of March 2022. The figure was shared by the developer and publisher in its recent earnings report for the financial year 2022.
Now comparing FromSoftware’s game to Breath of the Wild, then Elden Ring made half of Nintendo game’s total sales in less than two months. This means it will only take a few months more to not only surpass Breath of the Wild, but also establish a gigantic milestone.

The Elden Ring is now available across the globe for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
