Fresh Developments Likely to Excite Nintendo Fans Desparately Waiting for Metroid Prime 4

The month of February has turned out to be pretty exciting for the entire Nintendo community. It’s because recently, on February 9, the popular Nintendo Direct event saw tons of exciting announcements regarding upcoming projects. The title that actually stole the spotlight was Metroid Dread.
Nintendo announced brand new in-game modes for this popular title. In fact, the devs launched these modes through free updates later that night.
But despite Nintendo launching these free in-game modes for Metroid Prime. There’s something that was missing. Metroid Dread Prime 4 didn’t see new information being revealed.

The fans were expecting the devs to drop some leads on this title at the recent Nintendo Direct event. But things didn’t go as expected and instead, fans got new modes for Metroid Dread.
But more recently, the official developers of this much-awaited title might have hinted a lead on Metroid Prime 4. Developer Retro Studios has changed the banner image of their official Twitter handle to an image featuring the franchise’s protagonist: Samus Aran.

On the 17th of Feb 2022, Retro Studios left the community surprised after setting the above image in the tweet as their banner image. One prominent gaming personality named Nibel also mentioned Twitter.
The image gives fans a look at Samus beneath glowing blue light.

For the fans who aren’t familiar with the fact. Nintendo announced Metroid Prime 4 way back in the year 2017 when the devs revealed the logo of the title. And it’s been over five years and even to this date, the community knows nothing beyond what the title’s logo looks like.
When it comes to Retro Studios changing their banner image, that could mean a lot of things. And one of those things is it might mean that the devs are working on Metroid Prime 4.
