God of War Creator Celebrates PlayStation and Nintendo Achieving Viral Success Overnight Despite Stiff Competition

September 2022 witnessed two major showcase events, the Nintendo Direct and the Sony State of Play. Further, both events were held on the same day and revealed many awaited games, including the likes of God of War Ragnarok and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Later, Nintendo and PlayStation uploaded trailers from the showcase event on YouTube. Most of them are receiving massive amounts of views from fans. The amount is so significant that it even attracted the Creative Director of the Santa Monica Studio, Cory Barlog.

God of War creator reacts to Ragnarok and Zelda’s views

The God of War Ragnarok and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom are the two most awaited games by fans. As a result, fans went crazy after witnessing the two most-awaited game trailers at the recent showcase events.

Further, both game trailers are doing well on YouTube and creating hype among fans ahead of their releases. The PlayStation exclusive is only a few months away, releasing on November 9. Meanwhile, the Zelda game for Nintendo Switch will release next year on May 12.

Recently, a post went viral where someone compared that both videos are gaining similar amounts of views. Soon this fact caught the eyes of the brain behind the God of War series, Cory Barlog. He retweeted the point and added a caption that mentioned GOW and Zelda with a heart emoji.

It seems the God of War creator is not only happy about the response his game’s trailer is getting but also for the game on a different platform. Undoubtedly, it’s interesting to see the loving nature between developers, who respect each other’s works.
