The recent major system maintenance updates made players believe Nintendo is planning something for New Horizons behind the scenes. A YouTuber named SwitchForce proposed Nintendo should charge its New Horizons players for additional content. He mentioned that developers have already released much free content for their users.

Hence, they can release a DLC pack consisting of 4 new NPCs quest, 50 new storage slots, new critters, new outfits, new background music, and a Rainbow Cat. Indeed, it’s an interesting proposal, as several veterans quit ACNH because of the lack of in-game content. Therefore, if developers decide to release a paid DLC, it will benefit both Nintendo and ACNH die-hard fans.
