Massive Rumor On a Much-Needed Nintendo Direct Surfaces Amidst Summer Game Fest 2022 Doubt

Nintendo Switch is one of the most popular consoles among gamers owing to its exceptional portability and huge collection of exclusive titles. The Japanese video game behemoth always tries to make the best out of its ideas and surprise fans through exciting announcements. 

Every year, the company holds an exclusive series of events called Nintendo Direct to let fans know about what’s upcoming. What’s more is we may get to see an all-new Nintendo Direct in the coming weeks, according to new speculations.

Nintendo usually hosts a ‘Direct’ in the month of June to let fans know their plans. This was the trend since June 2017. However, with E3 getting canceled for 2022, Nintendo may change its trend too. Moreover, Nintendo hasn’t yet made an official announcement regarding an upcoming Direct. 

The last Nintendo Direct was held back in February. With the Summer Game Fest knocking on our doors, fans also want Nintendo to present a new Nintendo Direct this month. Well, we do have some good news for Nintendo fans! 

Can we expect a Nintendo Direct anytime soon?

According to a reliable Switch informant, SwitchForce, the next Nintendo Direct may happen in the next week. If the speculation is indeed correct, the much-anticipated event should be aired live for fans all over the world in the second week of June.

SwitchForce also went on to clarify that there will be no Direct before the release of Mario Strikers: Battle League. Nintendo would definitely not want to shift anyone’s focus off Mario Strikers, according to the popular Switch content creator.

When Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s recent maintenance kicked in a day ago, fans made a lot of speculations regarding Nintendo releasing the second wave of Booster Course Pass. Nintendo didn’t announce why they were conducting the said maintenance. However, the maintenance ended with fans realizing that the speculations weren’t true. 

 

SwitchForce took the Mario Kart 8 situation into account and speculated that Nintendo may reveal the next wave of Mario Kart tracks in an upcoming Nintendo Direct. In addition, he made a very profound statement on a probable date. 

According to SwitchForce, the event is definitely happening next week. “Now I can’t tell you where I got it from and I can’t tell you the exact specific details of why I’m sure this is true, but just know that I don’t say this very often,” he added.

What will the upcoming Switch event feature?

SwitchForce didn’t reveal an exact date, but we can expect a Direct to happen between June 14 to June 19. Along with this, the popular insider also added that the company may not include the already announced titles like Breath of the Wild sequel, Splatoon 3, Pokemon Scarlet, and more in the upcoming Direct. However, Nintendo may announce the Booster Course Pass Wave 2 for Mario Kart 8.

According to Switch Force, Nintendo may reveal opportunities for Switch Online, new systems, and N64 games. In addition, Nintendo may also give life to major speculations revolving around much-anticipated games like Goldeneye, Teenage Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge, and a new Crash Bandicoot game.
