Esports News: NBA Star Invests ‘Big’ in Tribe Gaming

Tribe Gaming recently announced that they have raised over $1Million in investment. The pioneers in esports mobile gaming got the pat of approval from their new all-stars partners on the 26th March. These new partners/investors for Tribe includes NBA’s Gordon Hayward, the WWE’s Cesaro, mobile gaming veteran Kristian Segerstrale, and more. These investors will also work as strategic advisors to the Tribe Gaming.

Patrick “Chief Pat” Carney, CEO of Tribe Gaming, was clearly happy with this trust from the investors. He said, “We started Tribe to help mobile gaming grow into the best it can be. And I’m grateful for the confidence our new investors have placed in our vision to help it reach the next level”.

Notably, This investment is proof that how much trust and potential the investors are seeing in the future of mobile gaming. Not to forget it was just a few years ago when mobile gamers were used to get the label of ‘not real gamers’ etc. But now mobile gaming has grown into the wider ecosystem with world-class competition and passionate fan-base.

Tribe Gaming and Mobile ESports

The Tribe Gaming which was launched in April 2017 has come a long way both in terms of their content and creativity. Their content team hosts some of the biggest stars in mobile gaming.

Not only content but Tribe’s team has been regularly competing for some of the biggest titles in the space. They have conquered multiple major championships since their inception. Currently, they have 5 pro teams that compete in games like Clash Royale, Clash of Clans, Brawl Stars, PUBG Mobile, and Call of Duty Mobile.

After this investment, CEO Chief Pat said they would build a content house near the new Tribe headquarters in Austin Texas. He said in that content house some of the biggest content creators in mobile gaming will live, create content and will make dank memes.

Boston Celtic and NBA star Gordon Hayward was also excited about this new venture of his in esports. He said, “I’ve been an NBA All-Star and made it to the NCAA championship. But I still get a rush when I’m taking down my enemy’s towers in a game of Clash [Royale]. The tribe is about celebrating mobile gaming, whether it’s by cheering your team on the sidelines or watching your favorite streamers on your couch. I’ve been a mobile gaming fan for a long time. And I can’t wait to help bring those experiences to more people around the world.”
