Nintendo switch brings Sega Genesis Games to its Library

Nintendo is bringing 4 games from Sega Genesis into its online library. The players of the Nintendo Switch expansion pack can now enjoy 4 titles from Sega Genesis. The Switch online is similar to other game subscription plans like XBOX Gamepass where players can avail many games with a premium subscription.

The Genisis games that are coming to the online library are Alien Storm, Golden Axe 2, Columns, and Virtual Fighter 2. These are some of the most cherished video games from the Sega Genesis series. Among this list, Alien Storm and Golden Axe 2 are the most popular ones. They were one of the most played Beat’em Up games in the early 1990s.

Alien Storm features a special force team called ‘Alien Busters’ who are fighting aliens to save Earth. It is an arcade shooter game, whereas Golden Axe 2 is a sequel to a 1989 game. The latter is set in a medieval world where players have to fight a clan to reclaim a glorious axe.

Columns is one of the first games to utilize the chain reaction mechanism in the industry, similar to Tetris. Here, players had to match the colors falling from the top and destroy them before the pile-up reaches the top. Virtual Fighter 2 is also a sequel. This game is one of the first fighting games to utilize 3D graphics.
