Tom Henderson, the reputed industry insider and leaker, provided some crucial details on FIFA 23. As per the famous scooper, EA will release the game later this year, under the FIFA branding itself. Moreover, the game will also feature cross-play on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.

EA’s renowned series has gone through several unexpected phases in the last few months. Especially after the company issued a press release about reviewing its naming rights agreement with FIFA. You can take a look at the excerpt from October 2021:
“As we look ahead, we’re also exploring the idea of renaming our global EA SPORTS football games. This means we’re reviewing our naming rights agreement with FIFA, which is separate from all our other official partnerships and licenses across the football world.”

Additionally, the 2022 game will also include the feature of cross-play for the users of Xbox, PlayStation, and PC to participate in matches together; it will happen for the first time in the series.
Moreover, there will be an enhancement in the department of Hypermotion Technology as well; it made its first appearance in 2021’s FIFA 22.

All things considered, it’s still uncertain whether EA will eventually leave the FIFA branding or not. They might have to come up with their own ‘EASports FC’ label that it mentioned in the press release.
The 2022 game is yet to be revealed officially by Electronic Arts.
