This new feature will process the microphone input through a noise impression step, to be more precise. This will ensure more apparent audio output in the party chat.

While the noise suppression function will only be available in Party Chat, for the time being, it may have practical implications in some of Xbox’s most popular multiplayer games. Most importantly, games like Among Us, Roblox, and Sea of Thieves may benefit, as all of these Xbox titles support proximity chat.

There’s nothing worse than revealing a team’s whereabouts or leaking sensitive information because of a defective microphone. In the future, developers may be able to prevent these concerns on Xbox.

So, what do you think of this new feature in the Xbox consoles? Let us know in the comments.
