The creator and host of The Streamer Awards, QTCinderella, recently stated she might remove the Best Valorous Streamer category from the future edition of her annual award ceremony due to the amount of criticism this year’s winner received.

The Streamer Awards has become a major streaming community event with two editions. It is an award ceremony that honors the veteran and rising talents in the streaming community. Valorant is one of the most-watched game streams. So, QTCinderella honored a streamer for their excellent Valorant content. This year, Kyedae won the title against other big names like Tarik, QuarterJade, and ShahZam. Fans were happy to see the results, but the same couldn’t be said about every Valorant fan.

No matter what fanbase it is, toxicity remains a problem for every one of them. The Valorant community recently showed its toxic nature towards Kyedae for her winning the “Best Valorant Streamer” title at the Streamer Awards 2023. Even the streamer herself claimed that she hoped her winning was a mistake and Tarik should have won it.

These negative remarks angered The Streamer Award founder and host, who stood beside Kyedae. QTCinderella revealed that her condition had nothing to do with the results, as she was already leading by the table with the majority of fan votes. But despite clearing the matter, some fans are still not pleased about it. So left with no choice, QTCinderella had to take some tough calls.

The Streamer Awards founder also revealed that several fans were upset with her decision to punish the entire community. Yet she stood firm in her resolve, saying she would “absolutely” do it to better the toxic Valorant community.
