Former World No. 5 Eugenie Bouchard has seen many ups and downs throughout her career, including a 13-match losing streak in 2019. However, her love for the game has never diminished. In a recent podcast with Tennis.com, Bouchard talked about her career and how she trained with tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf.

The Canadian player had previously trained with Rennae Stubbs, a former World No. 1 in doubles, in Prague. However, during the lockdown, Bouchard trained with esteemed fitness coach Gill Reyes as well as Andre Agassi and Steffi Graff.

She expressed her gratitude for Agassi and Graf in a podcast recently.

“I felt like the physical part of my game had to get better, so I moved to Las Vegas and didn’t look back. I’m more than grateful and happy that Andre and Steffi can also help me with tennis, so I have a really cool team there.”

Currently ranked 330 in the world, Bouchard is determined to keep improving.

“You don’t wake up loving it every single day and like, oh my God, I’m so excited to do side-to-side drills today, I love it. But as I’ve gotten older it sounds corny but I just appreciate it so much more. It’s such a cool job. It’s so unique.”

Bouchard also admitted that having a female coach has helped her a lot.
