Lewis Hamilton found some time for gaming on his Nintendo 64 with his best friend and adorable English pet bulldog Roscoe ahead of the British Grand Prix.

The Englishman is considered one of the best drivers in F1 history, with most wins, podiums, and pole positions. Moreover, he’s the only driver besides Michael Schumacher to bag seven world championships.

The 2022 season hasn’t been going according to Hamilton’s plan. However, he recently finished third at the Canadian GP and is now preparing for the home race in Silverstone. But the 37-year-old found time to spend with his pet dog Roscoe and play retro video games.

The Mercedes driver loves animals and was spotted with his pet bulldog on many races. Moreover, Hamilton has also shared his love for retro video games. He’s seen playing with classic Nintendo consoles like Sega Genesis and Nintendo 64. Recently, he shared a photo of Roscoe sleeping beside an N64 joystick.

It is not unknown to F1 fans that Ayrton Senna was the inspiration for Hamilton to become an F1 driver. The Brazilian legend is one of the best F1 drivers in history, winning three world championship titles.

Moreover, Senna was famous for his expertise in the Monaco GP, one of the trickiest F1 circuits. The Brazilian legend has won the Monaco Grand Prix six times, the most number of times in history. Therefore, Sega developed a game based on the Brazilian’s dominance in Monaco.

In 1992, Sega released Ayrton Senna’s Super Monaco GP II for the Genesis console. This game is a fan favorite, and even the seven-time world champion Hamilton loves this 1992 racing game. Hamilton got himself a copy of this Senna game and a retro console in Canada ahead of the race last week.

He spent most of the time in his hotel playing Super Monaco GP II. And Hamilton is famous for his competitive nature, which he even showed on the Sega console. Hamilton shared, Naturally, I got super competitive with myself. My personal best right now is a 49-second lap, pretty sure I can beat that tho. That was only after a few tries. I’ll let you all know when I beat it.”
