This weekend, the Formula One paddock heads to Baku for the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Red Bull enter the weekend on a high note after their win in Monaco. Meanwhile, Mercedes come into the weekend on the back foot and as the hunters for the first time ever. Of course, there could be a few wary eyes on the skies, in case the weather decides to play spoilsport.

On the bright side, there does not seem to be any indication that it might rain in Baku. This will come as a relief for the drivers, especially considering the track’s nature. It is a mix of wide and open areas and tight and twisty sections, and if it does rain, an already difficult track to navigate could turn into a nightmare.

However, from that point onwards, the track’s characteristics change completely; the track loops around and dives into a narrow, winding section where drivers have to be millimeter perfect.
