The biggest talking point, at the moment, in the world of F1 has been Racing Point. The Silverstone-based outfit has been slapped with a 15 point deduction and a €400,000 fine for “abnormal development” of their rear brake ducts.
You’d think that by now, everyone remotely interested in Formula One racing would be aware of the news. Or at least, the terms of Racing Point’s penalties.
However, that’s not the case. In fact, Racing Point’s own Team Principal, Otmar Szafnauer, didn’t seem to know the key points of their penalty.

Losing 15 points is a setback for a team that was looking to finish the season, as potentially, the ‘best of the rest.’ After an impressive start to the season, the Silverstone-based outfit have had a rough week.
Apart from the penalty, they have also lost Sergio Perez for yet another race, as the dreaded virus refuses to loosen its grip on the Mexican.

Nevertheless, the one silver lining in all this misery comes for Nico Hulkenberg. The German had a rollercoaster of a weekend that culminated in him being unable to start the race.
Many thought he had lost his golden chance to win a maiden podium in F1. However, now he’ll get another bite at the cherry during the 70th Anniversary Grand Prix, no less.
The whole F1 world will be rooting for Hulkenberg yet again. He had a very impressive outing in FP1, which is a good indication, but can he replicate or rather go one better, come race day?
