Alfa Romeo F1 Fire Up Their 2020 Challenger for the First Time

With the 2020 F1 launch season just around the corner, the teams have been teasing fans. The latest one is Alfa Romeo, who recently uploaded a video of them firing up the engine. In the video, they also highlighted how much work, blood, sweat and tears went into building the car.
According to the video, around 450 people were involved in the 2020 project. The final product also consists of nearly 15,000 parts, all merged together to create the 2020 beast. In addition to that, the final design was confirmed after nearly 8,000 drafts. All in all, after more that 100,000 hours of hard work, the car has finally come to life.

In all honesty, the Alfa Romeo team need a good season, after a strong start was squandered in the latter half of 2019. For the new season, the team needs to improve, and they have a financial boost in the form of title sponsor, PKN Orlen. As a bonus, Robert Kubica was recruited as a reserve and development driver, and his experience could be beneficial.
When will the 2020 Alfa Romeo break cover?
After Haas F1 jumped the gun and revealed a digital render of their 2020 car, the F1 launch period is officially on. However, the American team and Alfa Romeo will close out the proceedings when they roll out the car for testing.

However, the fact that the team has already fired up its engine, it is a good sign that the work is on schedule. This year, the Swiss-Italian outfit is on a mission to get into the thick of the midfield battle. While it would be far-fetched to see them as the âbest of the restâ, they can surely put as much distance between themselves and last in the constructorâs championship.
