Every Formula One fan is eagerly waiting for the next race in Jeddah. The sport will visit Saudi Arabia for the first time in what is being touted as the fastest street circuit in F1. Everyone had previously assumed that the fast and flowing nature of the track would favor Mercedes. But F1 track designer Hermann Tilke believes the track could favor Red Bull as well.
The circuit has the most amount of corners of any F1 track. This important characteristic of the circuit could suit the Austrian team as they are quick in the corners.

Tilke believes Red Bull could be fast in Jeddah
As reported by amp.sport1.de, Mercedes have already announced that they will bring their more powerful engine to the track. But like every street circuit, everything would depend on the setup of the car. The team which sets the car better would drive home the advantage in Jeddah.
“A powerful engine helps, but it’s not just straight ahead. There are a few fast corners that, with the right set-up, could give the Red Bull an advantage. It is also a street circuit, so often separate laws apply.,” said Tilke.

Red Bull is also confident that it will bounce back in the Saudi Arabian GP. Helmut Marko mentioned he trusts the abilities of championship leader Max Verstappen on a street circuit. The Dutch driver has dominated the previous two races on a street circuit in Monaco and Baku.
“He won in Monaco and in Baku, he clearly dominated before his tire blowout through no fault of his own. I think the pilot can make all the difference again in Saudi Arabia,” said Marko.
