Daniel Ricciardo Justifies Why Every F1 Driver Would Love to be Superman

Many already consider Formula One drivers as superheroes; traveling all across the globe, driving fast cars. McLaren’s Daniel Ricciardo takes it up a notch by wanting to be Superman.

And the Australian gives a reasonable justification for his choice. Knowing that Formula One goes all around the world, Daniel feels it would be a lot better if he could just fly to a destination.

Individuals from all walks of life choose to be a superhero as it gives them great abilities. For the 8-time Grand Prix winner, It would be the hero from the DC universe. Seeing that Formula One allows them to fly all across the world for a Grand Prix. Hence, Ricciardo chooses Superman as he has the ability to fly.

Doing an Interview with TAustralian, Ricciardo was asked whether he would choose to be Batman or Superman, Daniel replied, “I am going to go with Superman because we spend our whole lives travelling; and being able to fly on my own accord would be amazing. So it Superman it is.”

What has been Ricciardo’s highlight so far this season?

The Australian driver has had a season full of ups and downs in his first year with McLaren.  A memorable moment for the Woking-based outfit was Ricciardo’s win at the Italian Grand Prix.

The 32-year-old was seeing the five-red lights from second on the grid and was optimistic for a shot at the podium. Things got even better for the Australian driver as he grabbed the chequered flag grabbing twenty-five points and one additional point for setting the fastest lap of the race.

As it stands, the McLaren driver currently occupies the eighth spot on the driver’s championship with 105 points. With just two more races to go before the end of the season, Daniel will hope to grab as many points as possible to gain a few places in the driver’s standings.
