Charles Leclerc is having a wonderful start to the season. He won the Bahrain Grand Prix and finished second at the Saudi GP, as he lost the race by only half a second to rival Max Verstappen.

Regardless to say, he is the one who has taken tremendous advantage of the new F1-75. He has consistently outpaced and out qualified his teammate Carlos Sainz, and has become the Tifosi’s bet for a title win.

Charles Leclerc, the new world champion?

The 24-year-old Monegasque is an unmatchable talent in the car. He has currently overtaken the likes of drivers like Lewis Hamilton, George Russell, and maybe even Max Verstappen. The Dutchman is the reigning world champion and Leclerc’s biggest rival. Though initially underestimated, the Monegasque has managed to give Max a very tough fight.

Leclerc has maneuvered the new car exceptionally well. While the last season saw him losing to teammate Sainz in several aspects, the Maranello outfit had immense confidence that he’d make a comeback. And they were not wrong as the season opener saw Leclerc winning the Bahrain GP. While Ferrari has till now managed a regular podium finish, whether they can continue doing this is the question.

Though Charles has left no stone unturned to prove himself a worthy champion, bad luck also loves him. The Monegasque has been involved in situations where he managed a pole position and could not even start the race. While Leclerc fans have no doubt he’s the future champ, they cannot help the fact that other factors could always stab his chances.

Talking about maintaining the winning streak, Leclerc said, “As I’ve said many times, I think development will be key and as drivers it’s our job to help the team keep their level of competitiveness as best as possible.”
