Ferrari endured a terrible campaign last year. They only scored 131 points and finished sixth in the constructor’s championship. While some people like to use humor as a method to deal with tragic events, the Italian team doesn’t. In the third season of Drive to Survive, Sebastian Vettel was told not to make fun of the team’s 2020 performance.

“So, is that our credo for the weekend, “Don’t Laugh”? No Jokes?”

The Scuderia was not happy with the German’s announcement

At Ferrari’s 1000th GP, it was announced that Vettel would be on the grid with Aston Martin in 2021. The timing of this announcement raised a few questions in people’s minds, and why was it made on Ferrari’s special day.

“Hoffer tells the drivers that she has had a lot of enquiries about the timing of the announcement, given it came on the eve of Ferrari’s 1000th Grand Prix in Tuscany. Her reasoning is that the timing was down to a reaction to Sergio Perez announcing he was leaving the team,” states a report about the sequence of events in DTS.
