Speaking about his team’s chances in the first few races, he said, “ I do not expect ( Ferrari) to be the fastest car in Austria. We must achieve the maximum possible points at the start of the World Cup and try to react afterward.”
If Ferrari ends up underperforming in the first 3 races, there’s a big reason to worry. As, in the event of an 8 race Championship, a 3 race deficit is simply not enough, possibly even for third in the Constructors.
With Coronavirus wreaking havoc on the 2020 calendar, it isn’t crazy to imagine an 8 race season that decides the Championship. That could severely dent the Scuderia’s hopes of glory in 2020.

It will make it more difficult for us but that doesn’t mean impossible. I think we will know the true potential of the car after three races.” Binotto added.
It’ll be a tense wait for the Tifosi to find out if they can challenge for the title. However, this statement from Binotto could make Red Bull fans more optimistic.
