Hard work and talent translates to success sooner rather than later. And three Ferrari junior drivers, including Mick Schumacher, understand this statement particularly well now.

Ferrari have confirmed that their academy gems Callum Ilott and Mick Schumacher will be given their Friday FP1 debuts at Nurburgring. While Ilott would be racing with Haas F1, Schumacher would take on the Alfa Romeo C39. Robert Shwartzman has also been picked for a Friday practice session, but his chance will arrive in the final race at Abu Dhabi.

Mick Schumacher has been leading the F2 Championship and is widely tipped to make the coveted transition to Formula 1 come 2021. And undoubtedly, this news will have given him enhanced encouragement in the pursuit of the same.

Should both Schumacher and Ilott perform well, they would represent a good option to both Haas and Alfa Romeo. The teams have long been considering a change in their drivers’ lineup for 2021.

And as previously stated, Mick Schumacher will be a good rookie talent who can bring something new to the table. But for the moment, all eyes will be on the young German driver setting the track ablaze at the Eifel GP practice sessions; in addition, the fact that the race will take place in his home country only makes it sweeter.
