McLaren endured a difficult race last time out in Suzuka. Their rivals Alpine, on the other hand, really grabbed the opportunities with both hands and opened a 13-point gap over McLaren. Moreover, Daniel Ricciardo’s contract fiasco didn’t help their cause either, with the Australian becoming the unfortunate victim.
