Monster Energy is back with its collaboration with Formula 1 sensation Lewis Hamilton. However, much to the displeasure of the 7-time world champion’s fans, there are limited flavor options. The ones who actually grabbed one are going gaga over the taste and considering themselves lucky.

Lewis Hamilton, after a very long time, had an underwhelming season. The Brit, for the first time in his career, could not score a win in an entire season. That, however, hasn’t deterred brands from collaborating with the Mercedes driver and that is a testament to his popularity across the globe.

Hamilton and Monster Energy Collaboration

Monster Energy’s earlier collaboration with Lewis Hamilton did not go as well as they would have thought. Monster Energy had to take the drink off the shelves in a few countries, including Ireland, owing to elevated levels of propylene glycol. However, the collab is back on with new packaging and a peach nectarine flavor priced at $1.68.

Martin Attock, vice president of commercial development at Coca-Cola Europacific Partners GB spoke on the collaboration with the champion driver.

Martin said, “During its 20th anniversary year, Monster has broken records to become the number one deliverer of value growth in the entire soft drinks category. Lewis has broken records for the most wins, pole positions, and podium finishes in Formula One as well. This innovation brings together two cultural icons, and we’re confident it’s going to disrupt the category and drive sales.”

Fans delighted to get their hands on the Lewis Hamilton Monster Energy flavor

Here’s how fans reacted to the collaboration.

Some fans were delighted to find the limited edition flavor in their nearest stores.

Another fan wondered where they could find the flavor, as it wasn’t yet available near them.

One Lewis fan considered themselves lucky to have grabbed one.

One user complained about the high price of the Monster Energy drinks, however, what irked them more was the unavailability of the flavor they were looking for.

People are doing whatever they can to get their hands on one and we honestly cannot blame them.

Another off-track battle with Red Bull is emerging, it seems. One user vowed to give up Red Bull’s energy drink if Lewis’ Monster flavor was available near them. Monster Energy has the ball in its court now.
