“In 10 Years, I Don’t Think I Have Seen That” – Lewis Hamilton on Mercedes F1 After Saudi Arabian GP

Lewis Hamilton has been in Formula One for a long time, helping his team win countless races. However, after taking the chequered flag at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix, the Knight talks about the energy of Mercedes garage had after Sunday’s eventful race.

Round twenty-one of the championship was one of the most dramatic races we have had so far this season. But, amidst the chaos, it was the 7-time world champion who came out on top in Jeddah and experienced a “passion” that he never felt before in F1.

Hamilton was starting from pole and had his eyes set on victory. The Knight was true to his word and crossed the line in the first place; making it three wins in a row. The race was chaotic as Hamilton had an intense fight with Red Bull’s Max Verstappen; a fight that saw him come out as the victor.

Seeing him fight till the very end of the race, the Brackley-based squad was electric. The 7-time world champion explains the emotions his team was feeling after Sunday’s race.

Hamilton said in the presser, “As we continue to fight, no matter what we have experienced as a team. And I think probably all of us, no matter of what we face, just keep pushing; don’t give up. And I think, the mentality of our team, I think today I have seen a passion and excitement within my team. I think in ten years, I don’t think I have seen that, which is amazing.”

The race that will decide the 2021 world champion

After winning the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah, Hamilton has now won three races in a row. The Knight gained 26 points, raising his driver’s championship total to 369.5.

Meanwhile, Hamilton overcame his title contender, Verstappen, who had to settle for second place and eighteen points in Jeddah. They are deadlocked on points as a result of the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix.
