At 41-years old, Kimi Raikkonen is pretty much on his last legs as a Formula One driver. However, he does tend to deliver excellent occasional performances while in the Alfa Romeo. He even took his last F1 win in 2018 at the US Grand Prix, after a gap of nearly five years.
Recently, the 2007 world champion spoke to Infobae on a variety of subjects. Soon, the conversation moved to his future in Formula One. Admittedly, he revealed that he won’t really miss Formula One when he eventually leaves. However, the Finn did confess that he would like to stay in touch with the sport and some people.
He said, “I do not think so. There are good people in the category and I will keep in touch with them, but that’s all. I have spent many years in this environment and when I choose to stop I am sure that I will find many things to keep me busy.”

When will Kimi Raikkonen hang up his boots?
For the moment, Raikkonen is enjoying himself while racing, but the moment he loses his love for it, he will stop. During the current shutdown, he is happy to spend time with his family. He insisted that his family is the most important thing in his life. Raikkonen also believes that there is life after F1.
For now, he plans to race for as long as possible, while the passion is still there. Sadly, one of his friends, Sebastian Vettel, is in danger of not being on the 2021 grid. Vettel was one of the few people that Raikkonen got along well with, especially since Raikkonen is now the only driver from the early 2000s era on the 2021 grid.
