They sold a 2020 Topps Chrome Red Refractor Auto Lewis Hamilton for $59,040. And now the record for the most expensive Hamilton F1 card sold has been broken again, as they have sold the 2020 Topps Chrome Hamilton Superfractor card for a reported amount of $900,000.

An often overlooked aspect of the sports card market is how some of the products can actually grow in value over time. The usual reasons for a sports card’s price to go up are demand and rarity. There are countless factors that drive demand, like an athlete having a great season or achieving a landmark milestone.
So, it is no surprise to see Lewis Hamilton, a seven-time world champion’s card getting the highest bid. He has won 103 races and been on the podium for 62.7% of the GPs he has entered in his 16-year-career. The 37-year-old has achieved unimaginable feats and broken several records and is still going.

A couple of months back, Goldin Auctions announced a 2006 Futera Grand Prix card of Lewis Hamilton was sold at a reported value of $312,000. These cards sold in the auction are mostly collector’s items. But they would also make a perfect gift for any Formula 1 fan.
