Lewis Hamilton ‘Never Was’ Invincible: Fernando Alonso

After years of dominance by Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton in recent years, the two-time world champion in an interview with AS claims Hamilton was never invincible.

Lewis Hamilton’s rival in 2021 will no longer be his own teammate Valtteri Bottas. Instead, it will be Red Bull’s Max Verstappen who finally has a car at his disposal which matches his talent.

The 7-time world champion is enduring one of the toughest times in F1 since Nico Rosberg’s retirement in 2016. So far in 2021, Red Bull is dominating both the Drivers and Constructors championships.

What did Fernando Alonso say?

In an interview with Spanish publication AS, when asked if Lewis Hamilton was invincible, Fernando Also said: “(he) never was.

“Before he had to beat his teammate and now he has to beat another car that will sometimes be faster, other times slower. They are both at a very high level.”

Alonso to stay at Alpine till 2024
