Michael Schumacher is still recovering from his life-threatening accident from 7 years ago. Even though he’s no longer part of the grid, he still lives on in the minds and hearts of everyone in the F1 paddock. On the occasion of his 52nd birthday on January 3, Lewis Hamilton, a lifelong Schumacher fan, took to Twitter to wish him.
While he was recovering from his accident, F1 proceeded as usual. Taking over the Rhinelander’s cockpit, Lewis Hamilton paced ahead to make history. Mercedes and the Briton went on to bag seven constructors’ titles and continue to dominate the grid.
The lad from Stevenage, like many in the realm of F1, has always been verbose about how he looks up to Schumacher. Moreover, he took over the German’s seat upon his departure from the sport and recently equaled his record of seven world championships.

Thus, on the occasion of his birthday, Lewis could not forget an F1 legend and his predecessor. A heartwarming tweet with a picture of him and Schumacher will melt hearts in the paddock.
