Max Verstappen is all set to take his 15th win of the year. Yes, the Dutchman was quick under the floodlights of the Abu Dhabi track as he took the final pole of the season. This marks his 7th pole position of the season. The Yas Marina Circuit witnessed complete team effort from Red Bull, which arguably didn’t happen at the Brazilian circuit. Sergio Perez, who was struggling to make it into the Q3, was given a tow on his second flying lap in Q3 by Max Verstappen. This eventually helped him to line up in the front row. The fact that the front row is locked by the Austrian outfit has pleased the Dutch ace.

“I’m very happy that both cars are on the front row,” he said. “Because of course we want to win the race, but we also want to finish second with Checo in the championship, so that’s definitely a great start before tomorrow.”

All in all, it is surely a relief for the Red Bull PR team, after everything that happened during the Brazilian GP weekend.

Verstappen seems to be quite happy with the fact that Checo Perez has got an upper hand in the battle of P2 in WDC with Charles Leclerc. The help was later appreciated by Perez himself.
