Mick Schumacher, who is making his F1 debut this year, will, unfortunately, start his career from the back of the grid with Haas. The American team have failed to live up to the potential, fielding a grossly incompetent car. To make things worse, the car won’t have an upgrade for 2021.
The lackluster car won’t make it easy for the rookie in his first season on the grid. However, F1 pundit, Martin Brundle believes that Schumacher must exceed expectations once he is behind the wheel of an underpowered Haas.

On the Sky Sports F1 channel, Martin Brundle said, “So Mick’s got to beat his teammate and be there on those crazy or rainy or crazy and rainy days, trying to steal a world championship point, outperform the car.”
He added, “Like Mark Webber and Fernando Alonso did in a Minardi, Michael Schumacher did in a Jordan, Ayrton Senna did in a Toleman. I’m not putting him up there, at that level, but necessarily we have to wait and see.”

“But I think Mick is just going to keep his head down not make silly mistakes and be there to pick up the pieces and just show.” Brundle concluded.
