The lackluster SF1000 has been one of the main reasons behind Scuderia Ferrari’s dismal 2020 campaign. Yet Charles Leclerc has managed to extract the best out of his car; however, the same can’t be said about his teammate Sebastian Vettel.
Leclerc has been outperforming his machinery for the better part of this season, whereas the 4-time World Champion continues to struggle big time. Fortunately and unfortunately, the Portuguese Grand Prix tells the same tale.
The Monegasque has been brilliant throughout the weekend thus far. He will be starting the race in P4. Vettel, on the other hand, was knocked out in Q2 for the 8th consecutive time and will begin the race in P15.

“The rear is moving quite a bit. (But) I just feel quite good in the car at the moment. I’m sure that for tomorrow it will be a lot better for him.”
Vettel fans would definitely hope Leclerc’s claims come true. However, the German doesn’t share his teammate’s sense of optimism.

The 33-year-old was obviously unhappy with his Quali outing and opened up about why he failed to notch a noteworthy performance.
