‘Rawe Ceek’ Is Back as F1 Fans Celebrate the First Race Week of the 2022 Season

F1 fans will be excited as the new 2022 season gets underway this week in Bahrain. Teams have gone through extensive testing in the new cars as they gear up for a new era of ‘closer racing.’ We expect the big guns to face stiff competition as they face a severe threat from new challengers.

The season has seen 6 days of testing over two sessions in Barcelona and Bahrain. Now, with all drivers completing their laps, the stage is set for the first qualifying and race at the weekend. The Bahrain Grand Prix will be held from 18-20 March.

Ferrari and McLaren have been the teams to show massive improvement in the new 2022 cars. This season onwards, cars will have major aerodynamical changes with bigger tires in use. Additionally, the battle between Mercedes and Red Bull is set to continue with a minor change in the driver lineup. George Russell will join Mercedes, replacing Valtteri Bottas who was in the team for 5 years.

What is ‘Rawe Ceek’ in F1?

Ferrari invented the term, “Rawe Ceek” in 2021, ahead of the British Grand Prix. By means of a  Race Week poster mishap, the term has now become a popular meme. Since then, the F1 community has used it to show their excitement ahead of the race.

The term is yet to feature on social media this week, as it makes the start of the new season. However, new faces in the paddock will also add to the excitement this year. Williams has signed former Red Bull driver Alex Albon, while Haas has roped in Kevin Magnussen after replacing Nikita Mazepin.

One thing is for sure that this season will continue from the last. There could be a more intense in the midfield with three teams vying for the 3rd spot in the Constructors’ standings. We hope to see a season of closer racing with more excitement in the coming months.
