Robert Kubica Finally at Peace and Happy With New Role at Alfa Romeo F1

The reserve role of Robert Kubica with Alfa Romeo is a homecoming of sorts for the Polish driver as Hinwil is where everything once began for him in F1.
Kubica’s extraordinary comeback with Williams a year ago was a noteworthy accomplishment, regardless of whether it left Robert Kubica with little to appear after a disappointing effort with the ambushed British team.
Many accepted his career in F1 had reached a positive conclusion after Abu Dhabi. Kubica has survived to perhaps fight another day in the sport, having been named as Alfa’s official reserve driver for 2020. The position even permitted to get the team’s new C39 through its underlying paces on the opening day of pre-season testing in Barcelona. What’s more, he felt promptly comfortable with a team established in the Sauber BMW outfit he drove for and won with during his initial days in F1.

“I don’t want to compare,” Kubica said at an event in Warsaw.
“Unfortunately, a lot of bad things were said about Williams last season. But, a lot of people do a great job there. Formula 1 is constantly changing, so I need to concentrate on where I am now,” he added.
However, Kubica admitted that life is not as hectic at Alfa Romeo.
“Everything is certainly easier than 12 months ago, but that would not be difficult,” he smiled.

Kubica’s on-track duties with Alfa will clearly be constrained. Yet he will embed with the Swiss squad for the greater part of the period. Also, he will be prepared to get a move on just in case.
“A lot of things have changed because F1 has changed actually, quite a lot. The team is developing but the DNA of the team is still the same. I’m finally back home and I hope we have a good year.”

“As a reserve driver, I will have a few duties, not racing. It doesn’t mean I will be on holiday,” he explained.
