Sebastian Vettel had horrid last season at Ferrari, as he couldn’t extract most out of the car. Many wonder if he got fresh slate at Aston Martin he would improve. However, that hasn’t been the case so far, former F1 driver, Ralf Schumacher thinks that Vettel has the same problems but the only difference is that he has green overalls.

The four-time world champion didn’t get off to a good start in Bahrain, as he had a grid penalty. Furthermore, he received a 10-sec time penalty due to a collision with Ocon. Vettel finished the race in 15th place and hence couldn’t score any points.

Imola was the German’s chance at redemption, but his bad luck begun even before the lights went out. He had brake issues and had to start from the pitlane, later in the race he had to retire due to gearbox issues. This put an end to his race, Vettel hopes things will take look better for the upcoming race at Portugal.

Vettel has stated that they need to do a better job if they want results

Vettel has still yet to bring his first points for the Silverstone-based team, he has stated that they need to work harder if they want better results.

He said, “I think we could have had a better race if the FIA was more alert. We broke a rule, I guess, that’s why we got a penalty, but they didn’t bother [to penalise us] until way into the race, so by that time obviously, the penalty cost us a lot more than it would have earlier in the race.”

“So that’s not very professional, but it certainly wasn’t the decider for us today we had plenty of issues. So, not the trouble-free race that we were hoping for [it was a] tough day,” He concluded.

The next round of the championship is just around the corner. The German driver will hope to make amends and aim to bounce back in this new chapter that he is in with Aston Martin.
