Charles Leclerc Happy Sebastian Vettel “Can Finally Show What He is Worth”

Charles Leclerc and Sebastian Vettel had a frustrating qualifying session on Saturday. The pair was knocked out of Qualifying 2 sessions and was starting the race behind half of the grid. However, the pair put up a sensational drive to finish in Top-4 at the Turkish Grand Prix.
Sebastian Vettel won his first podium of the season. After 7 no-points finishes, the German stood on the podium with Lewis Hamilton and Sergio Perez.
Meanwhile, Charles Leclerc was disappointed to lose out on a podium and expressed his feeling on Twitter. However, the Monegasque was extremely happy for Vettel’s result.

He said, “Congratulations to Seb on the other hand. First podium of the season. I think it’s been a very difficult season on his side and happy that he can finally show on track what he is worth.”
So disapointed with myself today. We were extremely quick but my last lap mistake is what cost us the 2nd place.

Charles Leclerc drove a sensational race and gained several positions to stand P3 just behind Sergio Perez. However, with a few corners to go, the Monegasque attempted an overtake for P2 and lost out his position to teammate Sebastian Vettel.

Charles Leclerc was unhappy with his result
Leclerc admitted the fact that he was quite unhappy about losing out on a podium position during a post-race conference. He said, “I am so angry with myself now. I only feel disappointment.”
The Ferraris started their race at the back of the grid. However, the duo drove with immense patience and skill to take both the cars to Top-4.

He said, “I am very happy when I see where we were after first 10 laps. I think we were 25 or 30 seconds behind the guys we have been fighting at the end.”
“On one hand, I cannot afford to do a mistake. I was fighting for the second place and to finish out of the podium because of this mistake feels very bad,” Leclerc further added.

Charles Leclerc stands at P5 of the drivers’ championship. The ‘best of the rest’ fight gets intense as Sergio Perez, Charles Leclerc, and Daniel Ricciardo are separated by just 4 points for the P4 standing.
Meanwhile, in the Constructors’ Championship, Ferrari closed in on Renault, with just 6 points between them. Ferrari and their drivers will be very happy at this surprise result. However, it remains to be seen whether this was just a one-hit-wonder for them or not.
