F1 Tuscan Grand Prix in Images : Lewis Hamilton Storms to Pole at Ferrari’s 1000th Grand Prix

Qualifying for the F1 Tuscan Grand Prix has come to an end and there are no surprises among the frontrunners. Lewis Hamilton will be starting the race in Pole position with teammate Valtteri Bottas starting in P2. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen completes the top 3.
If you didn’t quite have the chance to catch the qualifying sessions live, then fear not for we have got you covered. We bring to you all the action that took place on Saturday, session by session.
Tuscan Grand Prix – Qualifying 1 (Q1)

The biggest talking point of Q1 was the elimination of last Sunday’s winner, Pierre Gasly. Joining him were the Williams duo of George Russell and Nicholas Latifi along with Haas’s Kevin Magnussen and Alfa Romeo’s Antonio Giovinazzi. Sebastian Vettel had a close shave, finishing just above the elimination zone.
F1 Tuscan Grand Prix – Qualifying 2 (Q2)
The second qualifying session at Mugello yielded some interesting results. The eliminations of Romain Grosjean, Kimi Raikkonen, and Daniil Kvyat didn’t come as surprises. However, Vettel did not enjoy his qualifying sessions and yet again (for the 5th time in a row) failed in his bid to make it into Q3.

Another surprising qualifying result was provided by McLaren’s Lando Norris. He was beaten by teammate Carlos Sainz for the final top 10 berth. This was the first time this season that Norris didn’t make it into Q3.
F1 Tuscan Grand Prix – Qualifying 3 (Q3)

The third qualifying session for the Tuscan Grand Prix ended as one would expect. Hamilton topped the timesheets ahead of Bottas and Verstappen. However, Esteban Ocon brought out a yellow flag during the final minute of the session with a spin. The yellow flag hindered the final flying lap of a few others behind him including Bottas.
Nevertheless, There was some jubilation for Ferrari on the eve of their 1000th Grand Prix. The Monegasque Charles Leclerc will start the race in P5.
