Conor McGregor made a Formula 1 appearance earlier this year in Monaco. The UFC megastar was there to support the team, Haas, as he clicked some photos with Mick Schumacher. McGregor is now set to make a return in the final race in Abu Dhabi, but not as a supporter.

Last year’s Abu Dhabi GP carried an enormous buzz as it was the drivers’ championship-deciding event. This time though, both championship fights have concluded, but there are still some battles to look forward to. For instance, Charles Leclerc and Sergio Perez are tied on 290 points, fighting for the runner-up spot in the drivers’ standings.

“It’s great to be here, I enjoyed this qualifying round…it’s great to be here at my first Grand Prix in Monaco. I’m honored. I’m here supporting Team Haas. It’s all to play for, there’s been a crash between the top two. Our car I believe is freshest… There’s a storm brewing and we’re excited about tomorrow. Let’s go Team Haas,” McGregor said in an interview with Sky Sports.

The race could not have gone worse for the American team as both Mick Schumacher and Kevin Magnussen DNF’d. The rain-affected race saw Kevin Magnussen bow out because of engine issues, while Mick, struggling for grip, crashed hard into the barriers on lap 27. The crash saw his car break into two pieces.
