VIDEO: Lando Norris Apologizes to Stroll After Calling Him a C*nt During the Portuguese GP

Lap 18 of the Portuguese Grand Prix saw Lando Norris and Lance Stroll crashing into each other. Although the former held his line and sped past, the latter suffered a major spin at Turn 1.

The crash which is being classified as a racing incident could have proved fatal for both drivers. The incident left Lando furious and saw Stroll dropping to P20.

The attempt to go past English racer from the outside was rather risky from Stroll. The McLaren steered well into Turn 1, but a sudden sharp move from Stroll led to the accident. Lando Norris lost his calm over the move and yelled hard over the team radio.

“What the **** is this ****head doing. I got damage guys I need to box. I got wing damage What a c***. Probably steering damage, I don’t know. They [tyres] are terrible. Fronts are okay, but the rear,” exclaimed the Mclaren racer.

The team advised Lando Norris to remain calm and keep racing as there were still many laps left. Yet, the crash was too destructive to maintain composure. The McLaren driver eventually finished P13 and subsequently apologized for abusing the Racing Point driver.

“I apologize for what I said about Lance. I shouldn’t have said the words I did, but it was in the moment.” spoke Lando Norris

Yesterday’s race was a lot of bad luck for Norris. It all began with the Stroll incident and ended with dragging Norris out of the points table.

The Portimao circuit was a huge test for all the drivers in the grid. From sharp turns to tricky chicanes and hills and slopes, it was a rollercoaster.

Though Lando apologized for abusing Stroll, he hadn’t quite finished as a post race interview saw Lando venting a little more. Lance Stroll is not a very celebrated racer on the grid, and many get irritated by his childish racing.

His entry into the grid is also one of the most controversial topics in F1. Yet, here he is, racing beside Sergio Perez every weekend.

The Portuguese Grand Prix saw a slight rivalry building up between Lance and Lando. Therefore, it will be interesting to see the Canadian and the English drivers go head to head in the upcoming races.
