Ferrari couldn’t have asked for a better start to a season than this. The Bahrain International Circuit went into ruptures as two F1-75s made it past the chequered flag. Charles Leclerc won the race while his teammate Carlos Sainz ended the race in P2.

After two bad years, finally, it’s time for redemption for the Maranello-based team. What could’ve been a fairytale start, has become the truth for the Italian team. This is the first time the Ferraris won the race and finished in one-two since the 2019 Singapore Grand Prix.

The jubilant Charles Leclerc conveyed as he went crossed the finishing line, “Let’s goooo. Let’s go, come on. That’s exactly how we shall start our season. Come on, one-two baby one-two. Yeah.” The team boss Mattia Binotto soon followed in to congratulate the winner.

As for Carlos Sainz, the man who started from P3 has stated, “Bravi tutti, bravi [Well done team, well done], Forza Ferrari. A typical weekend for me, but we will come back stronger.”

How did the Ferrari’s manage one-two?

Charles claimed the pole in Saturday’s qualification ahead of Red Bull’s Max Verstappen. On the other hand, Carlos Sainz ended in P3 to start ahead of Red Bull’s Sergio Perez in the grid. The race followed according to the starting order until Pierre Gasly’s AlphaTauri had a fire on his car.

As safety cars followed in, cars lined up to have a running restart. As soon as the race restarted, Carlos overtook Max after some time to claim P2. Max who was suffering from a technical issue for a long time has ultimately gone down the order.
